Get Your Creativity On with Sachse's Fallfestiest Decorating Contest

Sachse Chamber of Commerce is putting together the first Sachse fallfestiest decorating contest!  We want you to paint the town with fall colors or get your Halloween on!!  Enter in the daytime or night category and as a resident or business.  Winners will be recognized online, with a yard sign that they keep and in the Sachse News.  Click registration link to learn more on entry fees and deadlines.

Drive-in Movie Nights

Lot opens at 7:00 PM

Spend your Saturday nights with the Sachse Chamber enjoying drive-in movies in the LA Fitness parking lot.  We  have some classic movies chosen for your enjoyment.  This throw back is social distancing at it’s finest and some of the best dating or family time ideas of all time!  Roll up in the comfort of your own car, tune in, grab a snack, enjoy the fall breezes and classic movies.

Cars Under the Stars Parade

6:00 to 7:00 PM

Enjoy an evening with Sachse Cars Under the Stars Parade. Winding through Sachse, this 8 mile parade features cars from the 50’s through today.  Find a place on the parade route to hang out to watch or polish up your fancy wheels and enter your car in the parade for $10. Business advertisement sponsors available too.

Mother of All Food Drives

Drop Off: 7:00 AM to Midnight

We heard a rumor that the world record for a single day, single location food drive was a little over 500,000 pounds of food! We think we can beat it but we need your help!! We are issuing challenges amongst schools, chambers, cities, fire departments, police department, churches, and more!  We are specifically looking for peanut butter, tuna, canned fruits, vegetables and beans.  These items are some of the most sought after in food banks and might tip the scales! We are lining up all of the local food banks that want to participate and if you don’t want to make a grocery run, we will do it for you……just hit the donate button and we will make it happen. Help us break a record and help soooooo many people during this unprecedented time!

Wild Wild Goose Chase

FREE TO PLAY......Explore all that Sachse has to offer!  The Sachse Economic Development Corporation and Garland Independent School District are partnering with Sachse businesses to take you on a wild goose chase!  Gather a team and for a nominal entry you can embark on your missions to explore Sachse and the surrounding area, find special treats, bargains, prizes and have a blast while you do it.

Walk To End Alzheimer's

The chamber is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association for the 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.  You can start a walk team for just $25 and build up your team!  There is no limit to the number of team members.  Your team can compete for the most steps or most money raise for the Fight to #ENDALZ or both!  This walk is virtual so you can recruit your teammate from all over the world!!  Please join us for Walk Wednesdays.  Checkout how you can help find the cure and let’s turn Sachse orange and purple while we do it!

Online eGames Tournament

17th at 9 to Noon | 23rd at 5-8 PM

Love a little competition?  Come and get your game on with a Free Jackbox eGames tournament for kids and adults.  Jackbox Games are available on a wide variety of digital platforms.  Players join by simply using the web browser on their smartphone – no app needed!  Registered players will receive a link to join with instructions.  Don't miss out on the fun.  There are two nights to choose from - Oct. 17 & 23.

Pet Photo Contest Goes Viral!

Winners Announced Oct. 30th

Submit your favorite pet in their favorite costume or fall regalia for just $5.  Categories will be cats, dogs and other with proceeds benefiting the Sachse Animal Shelter and the Sachse Chamber of Commerce.  Sponsored by Pets Suites of American, Murphy who will also be supplying the extraordinary prizes!!  If you don't want to enter a pet, feel free to make any donation amount and it will go directly to the Sachse Animal Shelter.  Deadline to enter is October 27th with winners being announced October 30th.
